CCCC Desktop Linux Sig

Welcome to the Cajun Clicker's Computer Club's (CCCC) new Linux Special Interest Group (SIG).

Goals

Our goal is to teach ordinary desktop users how to do get things done with free software. Participants should be able to do everything they now do and more without ever having to touch a command line. Legacy sofware will be maintained and run without loss of convenience through emulators and dual booting. Free Software should be your next upgrade.

The long term goal is to recruit even more experts to teach their specialty using free software.

Methods

We are sharing what we know though:

• Classes - a six month cycle full of hands on training in the CCCC labs.
• Install fests - Twice a year, we will get you up and running.
